PlanIt Play was created with one simple mission: to help parents spend less time planning lessons and more time creating meaningful learning moments with their children.
My Story
It Started With One Simple Question…
“What should I teach today?”
As a parent, I found myself spending hours searching Pinterest, downloading worksheets, reading blogs and trying to piece together a learning plan. Every resource was different, and I never felt confident that I was teaching the right things in the right order.
I wanted one place that would simply guide me every step of the way.
When I couldn’t find it, I decided to build it myself.
From Engineer to Educational App Creator
My professional background is in engineering, where solving complex problems through careful planning and structure is part of everyday work.
That same mindset inspired the design of PlanIt Play.
Instead of creating random activities, I wanted to build a structured learning journey that grows with a child—one carefully planned week at a time.
Learning should feel simple, organised and enjoyable for both children and parents.
Learning While Raising My Children
Building PlanIt Play wasn’t something I did full-time in an office.
It was built during evenings, weekends and quiet moments between family life.
Along the way, I taught myself Flutter, Canva and educational content design so I could create the kind of learning experience I wished had existed when my own children were younger.
Every activity, worksheet and story has been created with real families in mind.
